Chimmini Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected area in the Western Ghats of Chalakudy Taluk in Thrissur District, Kerala, India. Established in 1984, the reserve is located on the western side of the Nelliyampathi Hills and covers an area of approximately 85,067 sq m. km. The highest peak of the reserve is Punda Peak (1116 metres). It forms a protected area of 210 square meters with the adjacent Peechi-Vazhani Wildlife Sanctuary. km. It is also located in the western part of the Parabikulam Wildlife Sanctuary and provides a habitat connected to the forest of this vast area. The border consists of Kurumari and Mupuliyam rivers. The reserve has the Chimoni Dam, which crosses the Chimini River. The church is located in Echippara, 40 km from Thrissur city. The reserve also offers hiking trails for adventurous hikers.
